Iowa starter Travis Wood allowed three runs over six innings and homered as well en route to his first win of the season.

Mike Trout smacked his first Triple-A homer and drove in two runs in Salt Lake's 8-2 romp over Reno. Bees starter Trevor Bell yielded five hits over 5 2/3 scoreless innings to record the win. Ryan Wheeler and Konrad Schmidt hit back-to-back homers for the Aces in the seventh, but that was the only offense the team generated on the day.

Max Ramirez and Anthony Seratelli went yard as Omaha trumped Round Rock, 6-3. Left-handed pitching prospect Mike Montgomery made his season debut for the Storm Chasers, giving up two runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. Rangers outfielder Leonys Martin fell a triple short of the cycle in the losing effort.

Catcher Clint Sammons smacked a walk-off, two-run homer in the 13th inning to give New Orleans a 5-3 win over Memphis. Both Amaury Cazana and Cedric Hunter went deep for the Redbirds, combining to drive in all three of their runs.

Fernando Martinez plated a pair of runs in Oklahoma City's 4-2 win over Nashville. Infield prospect Jimmy Paredes also knocked one in. Five pitchers combined on the eight-hitter for the RedHawks, with reliever Sergio Perez registering the win after tossing a scoreless fifth.

Fresno's Joaquin Arias collected two homers, six RBIs and two runs scored, while teammate Justin Christian went 4-for-5 with a longball of his own in the team's 9-3 drubbing of Las Vegas. Grizzlies starter Yusmeiro Petit allowed two runs over six innings to earn the win. Big league veteran Travis Snider doubled and plated a pair for the 51s.

Anthony Vasquez surrendered just one run on one hit over seven innings, leading Tacoma to a 4-2 win over Colorado Springs. Vinnie Catracala led the Rainiers offense by racking up three hits and three RBIs. Former top prospect Brandon Wood launched his first homer of the season for the Sky Sox.

Chris Carter doubled twice and drove in three runs for Sacramento. Teammates Wes Simmons and Brandon Moss also recorded an RBI each. Brad Davis homered, tripled and knocked in two for Tucson, while Blake Tekotte also went deep in the 5-4 loss.

In International League play, big league veteran Buddy Carlyle tossed three no-hit innings of relief to earn the win as four Gwinnett pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout. Jason Berken, who appeared in 40 games for Baltimore last season, allowed six hits over four scoreless innings for Norfolk as the Tides lost, 1-0.

Pirates prospect Starling Marte slugged his first Triple-A homer and stole a base, going 2-for-4 to raise his average to .353 for Indianapolis. Gregorio Petit gave the Clippers the 4-3 win with a walk-off two-run double and Ryan Spilborghs scored a pair of runs.

Tampa Bay's Brandon Guyer homered for the second time in three games and veteran Juan Miranda scored three times and drove in a pair of runs in Durham's 13-5 win. Former big leaguer Dallas McPherson had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and scored twice for Charlotte.

Former Major Leaguer Scott Elarton earned the 1-0 win in his season debut for Lehigh Valley, allowing two hits and fanning four over five shutout innings for the IronPigs. First baseman Mauro Gomez, an International League All-Star in 2011, had two hits, giving him five in his first four games for Pawtucket.

Brian Dozier hit a three-run homer in the seventh to rally Rochester to a 3-2 win. Garrett Olson didn't factor into the decision after allowing a run on four hits over five innings in his debut for Buffalo.

DeWayne Wise was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and fell a triple shy of the cycle in a 6-5 losing effort for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Tyler Moore homered and had three RBIs for Syracuse, while top prospect Bryce Harper drove in his first Triple-A run with a single.

Former first-rounder Andrew Brackman earned his first win as a member of the Louisville Bats after allowing a run on two hits while fanning four over six innings. Denis Phipps slugged a two-run homer and Todd Frazier drove in a pair of runs in the 9-3 victory. Big league veteran Brad Eldred drove in three runs for Toledo.
